What we checked

• Stars. 1,252 stars on the Aaronontheweb/dotnet-skills repository, counted on GitHub by Ai Lately on November 7, 2026.
• Red flags. We read the 79 files this skill would put on your computer, looking for downloads that run on their own, hidden orders, reads of your keys and passwords, and code that phones home. The scan raised a flag, and a person read it and judged it harmless: a reference doc that downloads OpenTelemetry's own release script to a file.
• One fixed version. We checked commit 5ca5db8. The link opens exactly that version. An author can change a skill later, so read SKILL.md before you install.
• What we did not do. We did not run it. A scan cannot prove a skill is safe.
